WHY I DO THIS
I started with poker. It was the game, and it was solitary — hours staring at cards, online tables where the only conversation was bets and raises.
At some point I realised what was missing was people. I started streaming to have folks who liked the same thing nearby. The focus is still on the cards, but the vibe is different.
Today I mix the focused player with the extroverted goofball — not as strategy, that's who I am.

Who is mat3usPT?
I'm Mateus, a Portuguese designer and streamer. Full-time I worked at Havas Worldwide Portugal (2007–2015, digital retoucher and artworker) and have been at Brand Digital since 2015, where I head the Motion Design department — animations for DOOH LED panel networks across Portugal. In parallel I've been freelancing in design, branding and motion graphics since 2007. I started playing poker alone at the table, and a few years ago began streaming to surround myself with people who share the same interests. In 2021 I was invited to the 888poker Stream Team — since then I'm the only Portuguese ambassador for 888poker, alongside partnerships with Solverde and other SRIJ-licensed operators.
What poker rooms do you play?
For public content in Portugal, I only play on SRIJ-licensed rooms: 888poker (my home, I'm an ambassador) and PokerStars. I focus on tournaments.
How did you become a 888poker ambassador?
I've played on 888poker for many years — it became my main room especially after the Portuguese poker market closed, when there were few legal options left. In 2021 I was invited to the 888poker Stream Team and since then I'm the only Portuguese representative of the brand.
What do you play at the casino?
The core is online slots. Around that I build stream activities: bonus hunts (accumulating bonuses to open in sequence), slot tournaments, original channel games like Padrinho Royale, and regular giveaways for the community. I mostly play on SRIJ-licensed casinos.
When do you stream?
I don't have a strict fixed schedule — I alternate between poker and casino depending on the day and event. The public calendar at /calendar shows upcoming scheduled sessions.
What are Fichas and how do I earn them?
Fichas are the unified channel currency — used for GTW bets, wheel of fortune, padrinho events and chat mini-games. You earn Fichas by participating in chat, daily login on the site, and successful slot calls. Details at /fichas.
What is the padrinho system?
Padrinhos are viewers who support the channel and participate in competition events for prizes. Each padrinho event has its own ranking and prizes at the end. See active events at /padrinho.
